The MDP is a main-deck pallet with the IATA code PRA, rated Type 1P. The same unit also appears under PMA, P4A, P4M, PZA, which are the prefixes different airlines assign to it.
Around 27.6 m³ of usable volume, up to 11,300 kg gross — the unit and its cargo together. The unit itself weighs 410 kg empty, so the payload is the difference between the two.
It is loaded on 747F, 747 Combi, 777F. A type is certified per aircraft and sometimes per door, so a unit that fits one freighter will not always fit another.
